Wood Sculptures

I started making these un-commissioned wall sculptures from Douglas Fir logged, milled, and re-sawn from my own property in the Tillamook Forest.  Later on, I transitioned to Western Red and Alaskan Yellow Cedar.  They are created spontaneously, without drawings, on a big horizontal table, then held together with myriad clamps until glued and finally sealed.   I envision them at various scales in public settings, or as exhibition pieces, and potentially made from metals as well as different wood species, perhaps with patina or paint.
